I'm David Reyna, and I built DreamDoodle almost by accident.
I was creating AI-generated coloring books—mostly for kids. Simple designs, cute animals, nothing particularly meaningful. I launched 31 of them on Amazon and made decent side income from it.
Then one night, I had this idea: What if people could turn their dreams into coloring pages?
It seemed like a fun experiment. Users would describe a dream, and AI would generate a coloring page based on it. Simple enough.
But then I added dream interpretation—almost as an afterthought. I thought it might give people some context for the images they were coloring. I trained the AI on Jungian psychology, archetypal symbolism, and depth psychology principles.
That's when everything changed.
The interpretations weren't generic dream dictionary entries. They were profound, nuanced, and deeply personal. They felt like something a therapist might say after years of working with you—except they were generated in 60 seconds.
People started reaching out:
"This interpretation made me cry."
"I've had this recurring dream for years and never understood it until now."
"Better than my actual therapist's take on it."
"The coloring part helped me process emotions I didn't even know I was carrying."
I realized I hadn't built a coloring book app. I'd accidentally created a tool for self-discovery.
So I rebuilt everything. New positioning, new pricing, new purpose. DreamDoodle isn't about making pretty pictures (though they are pretty). It's about listening to the wisdom of your subconscious and integrating it through the therapeutic act of creation.
Carl Jung called dreams "the royal road to the unconscious." Every night, your psyche processes emotions, works through conflicts, and communicates truths that your waking mind often ignores or suppresses.
But most people don't remember their dreams. And even when they do, they have no way to interpret them beyond Googling "what does dreaming about water mean" and getting the same generic answer everyone else gets.
That's the gap DreamDoodle fills. It makes depth psychology accessible to anyone with an internet connection. For less than the cost of one therapy session, you get unlimited dream interpretation, personalized art creation, pattern analysis over time, and a beautiful archive of your psychological journey.
I believe three things:
Dreams are trying to tell you something. They're not random brain noise. They're messages from your deeper self about fears you haven't acknowledged, desires you've suppressed, and patterns you keep repeating.
Self-knowledge changes everything. When you understand yourself—your triggers, your patterns, your hidden wisdom—you can actually change. Heal. Grow.
Therapy shouldn't cost $150 per session. Good dream analysts are rare and expensive. Most people never get access to tools for understanding their inner worlds. That shouldn't be the case.
DreamDoodle democratizes self-knowledge. It's not replacing therapy, but it makes psychological insight accessible in a way it's never been before.
The coloring pages aren't just a nice bonus. They're a crucial part of the process.
Art therapy has been used by psychologists for decades. There's something about engaging with imagery from your psyche through creative expression that helps you integrate insights on a deeper level than just reading about them.
When you spend 30 minutes coloring a representation of your dream—really sitting with the symbols, the emotions, the narrative—you're processing it. Not just understanding it intellectually, but emotionally and spiritually too.
Many users describe it as meditation. Others call it active journaling. Whatever you call it, it works.
Unlike dream dictionaries, DreamDoodle doesn't give you generic definitions. "Snake = fear" or "Water = emotions" doesn't tell you anything meaningful about YOUR dream.
Our AI understands context. It knows that a snake in a garden means something different than a snake in your childhood bedroom. It considers the emotional tone, your relationships with the symbols, and the narrative arc of your dream.
The result is interpretation that feels personally meaningful, not like fortune cookie wisdom.
And unlike therapy, it's available 24/7. When you wake up from a nightmare at 3am, you don't have to wait three weeks for an appointment. You can get insight immediately, while the dream is still fresh.

The DreamDoodle Difference: We don't just tell you what a symbol "means" in general—we help you discover what it means to you, then transform that insight into therapeutic art you can color, contemplate, and keep forever.
DreamDoodle is for anyone who's ever woken up from a vivid dream and thought, "What was that about?"
It's for people in therapy who want to go deeper. For creative individuals who process life through art. For spiritual seekers exploring their inner landscape. For psychology enthusiasts fascinated by the unconscious mind.
It's also for therapists, coaches, and practitioners who use dream work with clients. The Dream Mystic tier includes commercial licensing and pattern analysis tools that make it valuable in professional settings.
Your dreams are deeply personal. They're encrypted, private by default, and never used for anything except generating YOUR interpretations.
We don't sell data. We don't train AI models on your dreams. We don't even read them unless you explicitly share them publicly (which is always optional and anonymous).
Your inner world is yours. DreamDoodle just helps you understand it.
I'm continuing to improve the AI interpretation models, add new features, and explore ways to make dream work even more accessible and valuable.
This project started as an experiment and became something I genuinely believe can help people understand themselves better. If that resonates with you, I'd love for you to try it.
Your dreams are speaking. Let's listen together.
With over 30 coloring books published on Amazon KDP, I've helped thousands of people discover the therapeutic joy of coloring. Each book is crafted with care, designed to provide not just entertainment, but a meditative escape from the stresses of daily life.
My coloring books range from intricate mandalas to whimsical dreamscapes, each one inviting readers to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with their creative spirit. The overwhelmingly positive response from readers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my creative journey.
As Son of Yola, I create and spin music that moves both body and soul. Whether I'm producing tracks in the studio or reading the energy of a live crowd, music has always been my first love—a universal language that transcends words and connects us all.
My sound blends electronic elements with organic textures, creating sonic landscapes that transport listeners to new dimensions. Every set, every track, is an opportunity to create a shared experience, a moment of collective transcendence on the dance floor.
Technology is my canvas for solving problems and bringing ideas to life. As an app developer, I combine technical expertise with creative vision to build tools that make a real difference in people's lives. DreamDoodle itself is a testament to this philosophy—merging AI technology with the timeless practice of dream interpretation and coloring.
I believe the best apps are those that feel almost magical in their simplicity, hiding complex technology behind intuitive interfaces. My goal is always to create experiences that delight users while solving genuine needs.
Dreams have fascinated me for years. They're windows into our subconscious, repositories of symbols and emotions that can guide us toward deeper self-understanding. Through DreamDoodle, I wanted to create a bridge between the ancient practice of dream interpretation and modern AI technology—making profound psychological insights accessible to everyone.
By combining Jungian dream analysis with art therapy, we're not just interpreting fleeting nighttime visions—we're engaging with them actively, mindfully, therapeutically. It's a practice that honors ancient wisdom while leveraging cutting-edge AI to provide personalized insights that would traditionally require years of study or expensive therapy sessions.
